MRDe-film(!) review ... The Chronicles of Narnia; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Walt Disney Films
I'll include production info when I'm good and ready

For a change, and because I've not had the opportunity to go out to many music performances recently, I thought I'd take a shot at doing a movie review instead (seeing as I went to one today).

As you can easily tell from the header above, my viewing choice was the unweildily titled "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", the massive US Entertainment-Industrial Complex's attempt to create a new money-making franchise. Just because a product is a blatant attempt at creating a money-making product doesn't necesscarily mean the product is going to be a soulless, point-free cacophony stitched together from whatever the producers think will be popular (ie) lots of car chases, lots of CGI effects, lots of "cool" fight sequences, female actors clad wearing revealing bondage gear in movie versions of little know sci-fi franchises, John Williams music cranked up to hide a lack of plot or acting, etc. etc. etc.), but odds are, it's likely to be. So I approached the movie with much trepidation, and some coaxing (friends who had seen it told me there was some good train-related film in there (there are some obvious indications of my train fetish on this site) so that was a motivating factor. That, and I was given a pass to see it, so ... ).

So, what did I think? Was it good? Was it a soul-crushing money making piece of feces? Well ...
find out ...
